LUGOFF – Funeral service for Dolleta H. Rhodes, 99, will be held Wednesday at 2:00 p.m. at Highway Pentecostal Holiness Church, Elgin, with burial to follow in Centerville Cemetery, Ridgeway. The Rev. Paul Miles and the Rev. George Cashwell will officiate. The family will receive friends Tuesday 5-7 p.m. Powers Funeral Home, Lugoff. Memorials may be made to Gideon’s International. Mrs. Rhodes, wife of the late Weldon Rhodes, died Sunday, December 30, 2012. Born in Gasaway, W.V., she was the daughter of the late Mack and Myrtle Samples Hendrick. Surviving are her sons, Eugene Rhodes of Lugoff and Rev. Jerry Rhodes of Gastonia, N.C.; daughters, Susan Roepke of Hopkins and Jane Martin of Lugoff; 13 grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; and 9 great great-grandchildren. She was predeceased by sons, Rev. Nelson Rhodes and Rev. Wendell Wayne Rhodes.
