CAMDEN – Funeral service for William Patrick “Bill” Truesdale Sr., 73, will be held on Tuesday at 10:00 a.m. at Our Lady of Perpetual Help Catholic Church with burial to follow in Quaker Cemetery. The Rev. Father John Zimmerman will officiate. The family will receive friends Monday 6-8 p.m. at Powers Funeral Home. Memorials may be made to Our Lady of Perpetual Help Catholic Church, 1709 N. Lyttleton Street, Camden, S.C. 29020. Mr. Truesdale passed away peacefully at home on Saturday, July 11, 2015 surrounded by his family. Born in Camden, he was the son of the late Claude and Hattie Cobb Truesdale. He served in the United States Army and retired from DuPont. He enjoyed fishing, gardening, visiting with family and friends and most of all spending time with his grandchildren. Surviving are his wife of 53 years, Ursula Irmgard Krick Truesdale; sons, William “Billy” Truesdale Jr. (Jamie) of Camden, Thomas Heinrich “Tommy” Truesdale (Tina) of Camden, and Claude Steven Truesdale (Angela) of Lugoff; daughter, Sabina Ann Truesdale (David Coppage) of Camden; brother, Claude “Roddy” Truesdale; sister, Carolyn Clark; 9 grandchildren; and 6 great-grandchildren. He was predeceased by brothers, Jack Truesdale and Larry Truesdale; and a sister, Teresa Bass.
