COLUMBIA - Funeral service for Faye Russ Kirkbride, 59, formerly of Camden, will be held Thursday at 11:00 a.m. at Rowan Presbyterian Church, Lugoff with burial to follow in Quaker Cemetery. The family will receive friends Wednesday 6-8 p.m. at Powers Funeral Home, Lugoff. Memorials may be made to Youth of Rowan Presbyterian Church or American Cancer Society, 128 Stonemark Lane, Columbia, SC 29210. Mrs. Kirkbride died Sunday, January 28, 2007. Born in Hartsville, she was a daughter of the late William Dennis and Ruth Roland Blackwell Russ. She was a member of Rowan Presbyterian Church. A loving mother, grandmother, and aunt, she enjoyed family gatherings and playing card games with family and friends on Friday night. Surviving are her husband of 15 years, Gary Kirkbride; daughters, Melissa Poole Matheus and her husband, Francisco of Quito, Ecuador, and Beth Poole of Elgin; stepchildren, Lisa Kirkbride of Ga., and Marc Kirkbride of Va.; brother and sister-in-law, Dennis and Sue Russ of Lake Wateree; sisters and brothers-in-law, Kay and Olin Jackson of Lugoff, and Vickie and Fred Turner of Lugoff; grandchildren, Melissa, Gabriel, Carla, and Briana Matheus, Lillyanna and Kennedy Kirkbride, Karis Bird and Dayne Jones; and many nieces and nephews.
