KERSHAW – Funeral service for Arlene King Jones, 73, will be held Wednesday at 11:00 a.m. at DeKalb Baptist Church with burial to follow in Forest Lawn Memorial Park. The Rev. Keith Coates and the Rev. Steve Leigh will officiate. The family will receive friends Tuesday 6-8 p.m. at Powers Funeral Home. Memorials may be made to New Voice Club. Mrs. Jones Died Monday, December 31, 2012. Born in McBee, S.C., she was a daughter of the late William A. and Thelma Wages King. She retired from DuPont. She was a member of DeKalb Baptist Church and the New Voice Club. Mrs. Jones enjoyed gardening, crafts and gospel music. She dearly loved her family, friends and church family. Surviving are her husband of 56 years, Herman E. Jones Sr.; son, Herman E. Jones Jr. (Judith) of McGeetown; daughters, Karen Jones Pate (Kim) of Lake Wateree and Judy J. Reynolds (Anthony Parker) of Conway, S.C.; brothers, William King (Paulette), Pedro King (Elaine) and Donald Ray King (Penny); sisters, Blanche Scott, Gloria Thanos (George), Kay Polson, Wanda Galloway, Verley Waynick (Lindsay), Shirley King and Joan Moseley (Buddy); 6 grandchildren; and 10 great-grandchildren.
