HOPKINS – A celebration of life service for Dennis Norman Kirby, 32, will be held Saturday at 11:00 a.m. at Powers Funeral Home, Lugoff. The Rev. Bruce Marthers will officiate. The family will receive friends from 10 – 11 a.m. prior to the service at the funeral home. Mr. Kirby died Wednesday, December 26, 2012. Born in Florence, he was the son of Joel Dewey Kirby and Linda Winchester Stone. Surviving are his wife of 13 years, Amanda Hardee Kirby of Hopkins; mother, Linda Stone of Lake City; father, Joel Kirby (Blanch) of Cades; children, Heather Kirby, Dennis Kirby II, and Matthew Kirby, all of Hopkins; maternal grandmother, Mary Winchester; paternal grandmother, Edna Kirby; mother-in-law, Juanita “Bunny” Frye; father-in-law, Carl Hardee; sister, Tracy Morris (James) of El Paso, TX; and a brother, Christopher Shane Kirby (Katie) of Bellview, FL. He will be greatly missed by his friends and family.
