LUGOFF- Funeral services for Gloria Theresa Welch, 79, will be private. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to The SPCA. Mrs. Welch, wife of the late Elmer Thomas Welch, Jr., passed away Sunday, May 17, 2015. Born in Westbrook ME, she was a daughter of the late Omer and Lea Fecteau Charest. Mrs. Welch was a member of Our Lady of Perpetual Help Catholic Church. She enjoyed gardening, traveling and caring for her pets. Surviving are her daughters, Donna Marie Welch (Mark) of Lugoff, Denise M. Wescott of Standish, ME; son, Dwayne Thomas Welch, Sr. (Judy) of Springhill, TN; sisters, Connie Lagasse and Anita Knowles both of Westbrook, ME; a brother, Robert Charest of Westbrook, ME; 7 grandchildren; and 1 great-grandchild and another on the way. The family would also like to thank the staff of Palmetto Baptist and Twilite Manor for the kind, professional services they provided for Mrs. Welch.
