ELGIN – A visitation to celebrate the life of Florence Leurena Spradley, 86, will be held Monday from 6-8 p.m. at Powers Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Susan G. Komen Organization. Mrs. Spradley, wife of the late Norman Lee Spradley, passed away Thursday, May 7, 2015. Born in West Columbia, she was a daughter of the late Walter M. and Lizzie Mae Catoe Koon. Mrs. Spradley enjoyed yardwork, puzzles and cooking. Surviving are her children, Harold Spradley of Camden, Gary Spradley (Betty Jane) of Elgin, Patricia Caulder (William) of Lugoff, and Curtis Spradley (Pat) of Lugoff; brothers, Walter Raleigh Koon, Johnnie Ray Koon, and James Koon (Alice); 8 grandchildren; and 17 great-grandchildren. She was predeceased by a granddaughter, Dawn Caulder; great-grandson, Sullivan Spradley; and siblings, John Koon, Gineva Bell, Mae Brazell, and Jane Boles.
