Obituary of Sharon Elizabeth Hagenburger
ELGIN-The Lord gained an angel on April 15, 2015 with the passing of Sharon Elizabeth Alpha Hagenburger. She was surrounded by family as she peacefully left this world. Sharon was born on December 16,1947 in Monroe, Louisiana to Earl Trellue and Nancy Ashbridge Alpha. She moved to California at a young age where she was a life long resident until she and husband Don moved to South Carolina 11 years ago to be near their grandchildren.
Sharon was very dedicated team Mom to all of her kids' many athletic events. As a longtime member of Westlake, CA United Methodist Church she was a beloved volunteer for the youth group, chaperoning many trips over the years.
Sharon's favorite saying was Live, Love, Laugh and she lived by those words everyday, always laughing. She lived her life according to her strong faith. She was always giving, whether it was working hard at her job at Ameriprise Financial, donating blood as often as they would allow her to, giving to Epworth Childrens' Home, feeding the needy or making her famous strawberry bread for those she loved. She was involved with her Bunco group, Book Club, and Corvette Club which gave her so much joy.
Sharon is survived by her husband of 48 years, Donald Reed Hagenburger; children Timothy Carl (Ashley), Donald Anthony (Maddy), and Noelle Suzanne (Max); grandchildren Blake Alexander, Ansley Elizabeth and Kaya Violet; brother Steven (Julia) Alpha; brother-in -law Dek (Karen) Hagenburger and many nieces and nephews. The family wishes to thank her caregivers Dr Neinhaus, Dr Mushtaq, MUSC 9th East and Kia, Theresa, Monique and Angie from Hospice. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to Epworth Childrens' Home or the American Red Cross.
A celebration of life will be held Saturday, April 18th at 2pm at Village Church in Blythewood.
