LUGOFF – Funeral service for Sonya Marie Stewart McGill, 29, will be held Saturday at 3:00 p.m. at Springvale Baptist Church with burial to follow in Royal Pines Cemetery, Winnsboro. The Rev. Todd Horton will officiate. The family will receive friends Friday 6-8 p.m. at Powers Funeral Home. Sonya passed away on Wednesday, April 1, 2015. Born in Camden, she was the daughter of Steven Warnell Stewart and Daisy Juanita Branham Faulkenberry. She was a graduate of Lugoff-Elgin High School class of 2003. She enjoyed collecting Frogs and spending time with her family especially her niece and nephew. Surviving are her husband, Kelby Darvon McGill; father, Steve W. Stewart of Lugoff; mother, Daisy B. Faulkenberry (Gene) of Camden; sister, Stephanie Lynn Stewart Thompson (Jason) of Camden; niece and nephew, Madison Nicole Thompson and Owen Stewart Thompson; aunts and uncles, Don Berry Stewart, Mattie Hudson (Keith), Frankie Branham and Wayne Branham (Sally); father and mother-in-law, Dennis and Bernice Breeland; and brother-in-law, Brenden Rogers. She was predeceased by a sister, Stacey Michelle Stewart; paternal grandparents, Warnell Stewart and Rothlyn Stewart Stillwell of Winnsboro; and maternal grandparents, Franklin and Betty Branham of Ridgeway.
