Obituary of Lola Mae Moak Rose

ELGIN - Funeral service for Lola Mae Moak Rose, 79, will be held Wednesday at 4:00 p.m. at Highway Pentecostal Holiness Church with burial to follow in the church cemetery. Rev. George Cashwell and Rev. Paul Miles will officiate. The family will receive friends Tuesday 6-8 p.m at Powers Funeral Home, Lugoff. Memorials may be made to Highway Pentecostal Holiness Church Women’s Ministry. Mrs. Rose died Sunday, April 13, 2008. Born in Blaney, she was the daughter of the late Lexie and Zemmie Goff Moak. She was a member of Highway Pentecostal Church where she was a member of the Adult Sunday School Class and Women’s Ministry Program. Surviving are her husband of 62 years, Robert Walter Rose; children, Janice Evatt (Dan) of Central, Roberta Hellams (Wilton) of Columbia, Jeannie Potter (the late, Chris) of Elgin, Calvin Rose (Kim) of Elgin, and Ervin Rose of Elgin; brothers, Denny Moak (Clemmie) of Elgin and Kenneth Moak (Edith) of Elgin; 10 grandchildren; 5 great grandchildren; and a large family of in-laws, nieces, nephews and cousins. She was predeceased by brother, Ernie Moak and foster brother, Lester Brown.
