LUGOFF - A memorial service for Philip Wayne Munn, 74, will be held Saturday at 2:00 p.m. at Powers Funeral Home. The Rev. Joe Stines will officiate. The family will receive friends following the service at the funeral home. Memorials may be made to El-Bethel Faith Community Church, 905 Longtown Road, Lugoff SC 29078 or St. Jude Children’s Hospital, 501 St Jude Place Memphis, TN 38105. Mr. Munn passed away peacefully on Tuesday, March 10, 2015. Born in Camden, he was the son of the late Lockard Archie and Sarah F. Sheffield Munn. He served in the National Guard and retired from DuPont. He was a member of El-Bethel Faith Community Church and enjoyed collecting model cars. Surviving are his wife of 49 years, Joan Threatt Munn; daughters, Terri Cook of Elgin and Jodie Bowen (Tommy) of Lugoff; son, Philip W. Munn II (Kari) of Lugoff; brother, Harold Munn (Jane); grandchildren, Brittany Munn, Philip Munn III, Savannah Bowen, Tripp Bowen and Brody Shane Bowen; and his dog “Prissy”. He was predeceased by brothers, Lockard Munn Jr. and Hugh Munn.
