RIDGEWAY – Funeral services for David Lawhorn, 71, will be held Friday at 1:00 p.m. at Powers Funeral Home, with burial to follow in Greenhill Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends Thursday from 6-8 p.m. at the funeral home. Mr. Lawhorn passed away Saturday, March 7, 2015. Born in West Wateree, S.C., he was a son of the late James and Maggie Samuel Lawhorn. Mr. Lawhorn enjoyed playing his guitar. Surviving are his sister, Eva Hill of N.Y; brother, Willie Lawhorn of CT; sister-in-law, Rosa Lee Lawhorn; special nephews, Jeffrey Lawhorn (Ann Harris), Melvin Lawhorn Jr. (Ruby), and Frank Lawhorn (Patricia); special niece, Rebecca Lawhorn (James); and numerous other nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by siblings, Andrew Lawhorn, Melvin Lawhorn, James Lawhorn, Josie Lawhorn, and Ann Watkins.
