Obituary of Glenn Berry Singleton
CAMDEN – Funeral service for Glenn Berry Singleton, 63, will be held on Friday at 11:00 a.m. at Emmanuel Baptist Church with burial to follow in the church cemetery. The Rev. Jimmy Atkerson will officiate. The family will receive friends Thursday at 5-7 p.m. at Powers Funeral Home.
Mr. Singleton, husband of the late Patricia Singleton, died Tuesday, February 17, 2015. Born in Charleston, S.C., he was the son of Mary Corbett Singleton. He was retired from E.I. DuPont. He was a loving son, father, grandfather, brother, uncle and friend to all who knew him. He will be deeply missed.
He is survived by his beloved mother, Mary Singleton; daughter Sarah Singleton; sons, Berry Singleton (Christi), Sammy Sturkie (Kim), Jamey Sturkie (Angela) and Jason Sturkie; grandchildren, Robert, Rusty and Nathan Singleton, Landon Hinson, Chantly Anna, Ryan, Ethan and Emmalyn Sturkie; and one great-grandson, Olin Singleton. He also leaves behind his beloved sisters, Cindi Singleton, Susan Gainey (Jeffrey); and brothers, Neil Singleton and David Singleton; and many beloved nieces, nephews and special friend, Dawn Newman.
