VENTURA, CA – Funeral service for Eunice Stanley Rhodes, 81, will be held Sunday at 2:00 p.m. at Powers Funeral Home, Lugoff, with burial to follow at the Centerville Cemetery, Ridgeway. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the funeral home. Memorials may be made to the Alzheimer’s Foundation. Mrs. Rhodes, wife of the late Rev. Wendell Wayne Rhodes, died Thursday, January 29, 2015. Born in Marytown, W.V., she was the daughter of the late Enoch Alby and Goldie Whistlehurt Stanley. She was a devoted Christian who spent her lifetime supporting her husband in ministry and giving of her time working in churches they served. She was a loving mother and grandmother. Surviving are her son, Stanley Wayne Rhodes of Ventura, CA; Pamela Susan Rhodes Strother (Steve, Jr.) of Dallas, TX; grandchildren, Stanley Rocky Rhodes, Amber Raneigh Robertshaw, and Shyane Raneigh Beacom; and great-grandchildren, Kera Lee Decker and Naomie Decker. She was predeceased by sisters, Juanita Rakes and Naomi Rhodes, and brother Leon Stanley.
