COLUMBIA – A funeral service for Dr. Thomas Grant “Tom” Eppink, Esq, 54, will be held Monday, February 2, 2015 at 9:30 a.m. at Powers Funeral Home, Lugoff, with burial to follow in Fort Jackson National Cemetery. Tom Eppink, attorney at law, passed away January 24, 2015. Born in Tonawanda, N.Y., he was a son of the late Thomas William Eppink and the late Pamela McKeone Eppink Davis. He was a member of the Roman Catholic Church. Dr. Eppink retired from the U.S. Army after 28 years, which included serving in Afghanistan as Chief of International Law for the Afghanistan Theater. He received his undergrad from Michigan State, where he was a member of Sigma Nu, and received his law degree from the USC School of Law. He was also an Adjunct Professor at The USC School of Business, where he served for 20 years mentoring students. Surviving are his wife of 11 years, Kimberly Marie Bridgers Eppink; children, Thomas William Eppink II, and Katherine Alice “KAE” Eppink both of Columbia; siblings, Marybeth Gugino (Dr. Lawrence), Molly Beers (Mark), Megan Roper (Allan), Marilee Enos (Robert), and Philip Davis, all of Buffalo, N.Y.
