CAMDEN – A funeral service for Barbara Ann Tidwell Cranford, 74, will be held Saturday at 11:00 a.m. at Powers Funeral Home. The Rev. Dr. Mark Bredholt will officiate. The family will receive friends prior to the service from 10-11 a.m. at the funeral home. Mrs. Cranford, wife of the late William Henry “Pete” Cranford, passed away Wednesday, January 14, 2014. Born in Camden, she was the daughter of the late Benjamin “Pat” and Sally Mae Collins Tidwell. Mrs. Cranford had a green thumb and enjoyed flowers, and coloring. Surviving are her children, Karen Miller (Mark) of Elgin, Robert Anderson and George “Greg” Anderson, both of Sumter; 16 grandchildren; and several great-grandchildren. She was predeceased by children, Kenny Anderson, Cindy Frye, Michael “Bunk” Anderson, Catharine Watson; and siblings, Meldon Tidwell, Roy Tidwell, B.C. Tidwell, Raymond Tidwell, and Irene Hinson.
