GASTON – A memorial service for Pearl B. VanDyke, 90, will be held Wednesday at 12:00 p.m. at Powers Funeral Home, Lugoff. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the funeral home. Memorials may be made to Regency Hospice. Mrs. VanDyke, wife of the late Robert G. VanDyke, died Monday, December 10, 2012. Born in Columbia, she was the daughter of the late Robert A. and Ella Walker Blizzard. Surviving are a son, Randy L. Hughes (Jerrie “Missie”) of Lugoff; daughter-in-law, Sandra Hughes of Chapin, S.C.; granddaughter, Kelly H. Thomas of Irmo, S.C.; and a great-grandson, Mason Stanley Thomas. She was predeceased by a son, James S. Hughes.
