ELGIN – A visitation for Thomas Melvin Hudson III, 60, will be held Tuesday from 5-7 p.m. at Powers Funeral Home. Mr. Hudson, husband of the late Theresa Speary Hudson, passed away January 11, 2015. Born in Leaksville, N.C., he was a son of the late Thomas Melvin and Fay Bird Hudson, Jr. Mr. Hudson enjoyed hunting, golf, and trips to Alaska. Surviving are his son, Thomas Hudson IV (Kim) of Burlington, N.C.; step-children, Shannon Reimert (Fred), John McCusker (Amy), Molly McCusker; sisters, Pam Cox (Bobby), Marsha Corne (Tony), and Kim Loudermilk (Fred); and 7 step-grandchildren. He was predeceased by a sister, Iris Johnson.
