ELGIN- Graveside service for Janice Darnell Smith, 70, will be held Tuesday at 3:00 p.m. in Fort Jackson National Cemetery. Mrs. Smith, wife of the late Harland Edwin Smith, died Wednesday, December 24, 2014. Born in Columbus, Ga., she was the daughter of the late Ralph Thomas and Roberta Etta Abney Murray. She enjoyed quilting. Surviving are her sons, Gene Smith of Elgin and Bobby Donegan of Dickson, Tenn.; grandchildren, Brendan Donegan, Shannon Smith, Harrison Smith and Harper Donegan.
