CAMDEN – Funeral service for Bobby Gene Stanley, 78, will be held on Monday at 3:00 p.m. at First Baptist Church with burial to follow in Quaker Cemetery. The Rev. Bruce Hancock will officiate. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service in the church fellowship center. Mr. Stanley passed away on Friday, December 12, 2014 at home. Born in Four Oaks, N.C., he was the son of the late Rev. James Walter and Hilmer Mozelle Lee Stanley. He was a member of First Baptist Church, Kershaw Lodge #29 and a former member of the Lion’s Club. He was an avid sports fan, he coached recreation ball Kershaw County for many years and enjoyed playing golf and fishing. Surviving are his wife 53 years, Joyce Faye Stanley; son, David Brian Stanley of Camden; brothers, James Stanley (Sybil) of Four Oaks, N.C. and Lloyd Raeford Stanley of Four Oaks, N.C.; granddaughter, Alyssa Magan Thompson; and 2 great-grandchildren, Joseph Cochran and Nicolas Shafer.
