LUGOFF – A memorial service for LeRoy Fortner, 73, will be held Monday at 12:00 p.m. at Powers Funeral Home. The Rev. Joe Stines and the Rev. Greg Sweet will officiate. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the funeral home. Memorials may be made to KershawHealth Hospice, 124 Battleship Road, Lugoff, S.C. 29020. Mr. Fortner died Friday, December 7, 2012. Born in Clarksville, Ga., he was a son of Ruth Cash Fortner and the late Clark Miles Fortner. He retired from DuPont and was a member of Lugoff First Baptist Church. Surviving are his wife of 31 years, Carol Oliver Fortner; mother, Ruth Fortner of Lugoff; brothers, Jack Carlos Fortner (Carolyn), Roger Mack Fortner (Marcelle), and Herman Bruce Fortner (Brenda) all of Elgin; brother-in-law, James Davis Oliver; 9 nieces and nephews; and several great-nieces and nephews.
