LUGOFF – Funeral service for Mancel Reed Boggs III, 43, will be held on Tuesday at 4:00 p.m. at Powers Funeral Home. The family will receive friends Monday 6-7:30 p.m. at Powers Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to The River Church or Pancan.Org for Pancreatic Cancer Research. Mr. Boggs passed away on Saturday, November 8, 2014. Born in Charleston, W.V., he was the son of Mancel Reed Boggs Sr. and Joeann Disher Rabon. Major Boggs was employed at Wateree Correction in Rembert and attended The River Church. He enjoyed hunting but most of all spending time with his daughters. Surviving are his wife, Melinda Meshell Hopkins Boggs; daughters, Hannah Maree Boggs and Amber Nichole “Nikki” Boggs; father, Mancel R. Boggs (Paula) of Richwood, W.V.; mother, Joeann Rabon (James) of Camden, S.C.;brothers, Marcel Boggs and Ricky Boggs; and a sister, Monica Richards.
