LUGOFF – Funeral services for Ruth Neely “Memaw” Rabon, 90, will be held Thursday at 3:00 p.m. at Pine Grove Baptist Church, with burial to follow in Lugoff First Baptist Church Cemetery. The Rev. Eric Boone and the Rev. Doug Whitfield will officiate. The family will receive friends Wednesday from 5-7 p.m. at Powers Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to Pine Grove Baptist Church Building Fund, or the American Diabetes Foundation. Mrs. Rabon, wife of the late Lonnie Rabon, passed away Sunday, October 26, 2014. Born in Kyles Fords, TN, she was a daughter of the late George A. and Martha Spears Neely. Mrs. Rabon retired from DuPont and was a member of Pine Grove Baptist Church. She enjoyed quilting, crochet, and reading. Surviving are her sons, Ricky Rabon (Nancy), David Rabon (Annette), Alvin Rabon (Becky), all of Lugoff; daughters, Jean Spinks of Elgin, Gail Dabbs (Barry) of Lugoff, Evelyn Rabon of Lugoff; 13 grandchildren, and 18 great-grandchildren. She was predeceased by sisters, Mary Neal, Lydia Harper, Pearl Roddy, Margaret Neely, Daisy Davis and Edna Harrison; and brothers, Hugh Neely, Dave Neely, and Milam Neely.
