ELGIN – A celebration of life service for Charles Wayne Reynolds, 55, will be held Friday at 3:00 p.m. at El-Bethel Faith Community Church. The Rev. Joe Stines will officiate. The family will receive friends following the service at the church. Memorials may be made to El-Bethel Faith Community Church or the American Cancer Society. Mr. Reynolds died Wednesday, December 05, 2012. Born in Camden, he was the son of James Emmanuel and Bertha Elizabeth Hinson Reynolds. He owned and operated Morgan Company. Wayne was known for his singing as he sang with several groups as their bass vocalist. He was an outdoorsman who enjoyed kayaking and sports shooting. Surviving are his wife of 32 years, Celeste Bowen Reynolds; daughter, Morgan Reynolds Douglass (Timothy) of West Columbia; his parents, James and Bertha Reynolds of Lugoff; sister, Kay McIntyre (Steve) of Lugoff; and a granddaughter, Ava Summer Douglass. The family extends appreciation to the nursing staff of Palmetto Health Richland 11 East Oncology Floor and Father Timothy and Annie Burgard for their loving care and support.
