LUGOFF – Graveside service for Janice Chizuko Davis Samuels, 70, will be held on Monday at 11:00 a.m. in Greenhaven Memorial Gardens. The Rev. Dr. Charles Everett will officiate. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the COPD Foundation, 2937 SW 27th Ave, Suite 302, Miami, FL 33133. Mrs. Samuels died Friday, October 10, 2014. Born in Darien, China, she was the daughter of the late Frank W. and Eileen M. Bowers Davis. She retired from Civil Service and formerly co-owned Salt Pond Farm and Garden. She enjoyed reading, knitting and fishing. Surviving are her step-son, Bradley Jackson Samuels of Fort Wayne, Ind.; brothers, Stanley W. Davis of Michigan and Jim Davis of Leesville, South Carolina; and several nieces and nephews.
