LUGOFF – Funeral services for Henry “Cowbell” Anderson, 83, will be held Tuesday at 2:00 p.m. at Powers Funeral Home with burial to follow in Unity United Methodist Church Cemetery. The Rev. Terry Johnson will officiate. The family will receive friends Monday from 6-8 p.m. at the funeral home. Mr. Anderson passed away Saturday, October 4, 2014 at his home with his family. Born in Kershaw County, he was the son of the late Henry Cook and Elizabeth Joyner Anderson. Mr. Anderson was a member of Unity United Methodist Church. Surviving are his wife of 55 years, Ruth Tillie Anderson; sons, Jerry Fleming, Michael Wood (Joyce), Henry Anderson, Jr. (Patcenia), Nathaniel Anderson (Arlene), Keith Anderson (Mary), Sylvester Anderson (Amber); daughters, Myrtle Herrington (Jerry), Vernetta Anderson, Patricia Anderson; sister, Verlee Sumpter; aunt, Marie Bradsher; 22 grandchildren; and 12 great-grandchildren.
