CAMDEN –A Celebration of Life Service for Betty D. Hall, 80, will be held on Monday at 11:00 a.m. at Powers Funeral Home, Lugoff, with burial to follow in Sandy Grove United Methodist Church Cemetery. The Rev. Everett Recconu will officiate. The family will receive friends Monday 10:00-11:00 a.m. prior to the service at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Wateree Baptist Church, 2024 Haile Street, Camden, S.C. 29020. Mrs. Hall passed away on Friday Morning, October 3, 2014. Born in Cassatt, she was the daughter of the late Edward and Willie Blanche Bradley DeBruhl. She retired from DuPont and was a member of Wateree Baptist Church. She enjoyed camping, gardening, bird watching, blue grass music and dancing. Surviving are her husband, Melvin E. Brown; son, Tim Hall (Etta) of Cassatt; daughter, Debbie Sullivan of Camden; step-children, John Brown, Mel Brown and Margaret Ann Baker; grandson, Dylan Sullivan; step grandchildren, John Watkins (Becky) and Don Watkins (Dawn) and 10 others; step-great-grandchildren, J.P. Watkins, Karlie Watkins, Samantha Watkins, and 10 others; and 1 step-great-great-grandchild; a sister-in-law, Evelyn Swygert; a niece; and numerous nephews. She was predeceased by her first husband, Frank C. Hall.
