LUGOFF – Graveside service for Margerete B. Sharpe, 82, will be held on Saturday at 2:00 p.m. in Sandy Level Baptist Church Cemetery. The Rev. Jerry Lewis will officiate. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Walter M. Crowe Animal Shelter, 460 Fair Street, Camden, S.C. 29020. Mrs. Sharpe, wife of the late James Lonnie “Pete” Sharpe, passed away on Monday, August 25, 2014 at her home. Born in Birmingham, Ala., she was the daughter of the late Elliott F. and Margaret Abbott Avara. She loved animals but most of all her children and grandchildren. Surviving are her daughters, Audrey Lynn Swygert (Johnny) of Blythewood, Gina K. Roberts (Eddie) of Lugoff, and Angela L. Johnson (Bert) of N.E. Columbia; grandchildren, Cody Johnson, Candace Brazell, Chance Roberts, Tara Turner (Eric) and Brandon Norton; and great-grandchildren, Lacey Brazell, Scott Brazell Jr., Hannah Johnson, Bethany Turner and Brook Turner, and Marah and William. She predeceased by a sister, Roy Lynn McPherson.
