COLUMBIA – A memorial service for Mary Elizabeth Sharpe, 83, will be held on Thursday at 1:00 p.m. at Powers Funeral Home, Lugoff. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the funeral home. Mrs. Sharpe, wife of the late Marvin Brooks Sharpe, died Saturday, August 16, 2014. Born in Richland County, she was the daughter of the late Tom and Mary Mammie Lee Cunningham. Surviving are her son, Carl Melvin Sharpe; sister, Cally Croxton; 6 grandchildren; and numerous great-grandchildren. She was predeceased by a daughter, Teresa Sharpe.
