Curtis James Taylor Obituary

CASSATT- A funeral service for Curtis James Taylor, 64, will be held Friday at 2:00 p.m. at Powers Funeral Home with burial to follow in Dubose Family Cemetery. The Rev. Booker T. McPhail will officiate.


Mr. Taylor passed away on Saturday, January 18, 2025. Born in Cassatt, he was a son of the late Johnny and Tiny Wright Taylor. Mr. Taylor enjoyed fishing, driving tactors, yardwork, and both riding and taking care of horses. He worked for five years at the Camden Country Club.


Left to cherish his memory are his sisters, Johnnie Mae Peebles of Camden, Delois Boykin of Camden, Betty Adamson of Cassatt, Josephine Adams of Camden, Mary Williams (William) of McBee, Carolyn Henry of Bethune; a brother, Ernest Taylor of Cassatt; and numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by a sister, Betty Jean Taylor; and brothers, Bobby Taylor and Larry Taylor.
