Obituary of Rebecca R. Catoe

Devoted wife, loving mother and proud Mimi, Rebecca (Becky) Robinson Catoe of Camden, SC passed away unexpectedly January 3rd, 2025 at Camden Hospital at the age of 85. Born in Cassatt, SC and a graduate of Midway High School, she retired from Duracell.  Rebecca loved her church family and was a member of Hermitage Baptist Church in Camden, SC where she enjoyed activities with the Forever Young group. She was creative and enjoyed sewing, needlework, painting and crafting. Rebecca was a caring soul who always had a loving smile, kind word and hug to share. She married the love of her life, William Raymond Catoe, on December 23, 1961. Her greatest joy and delight was being a Mom and Mimi.   She always referred to her children and grands as “the Cream of the Crop."

She is survived by her children, Cindy Anderson and husband Brian, Kelly Kepley and husband Thomas, Rick Catoe and wife Cheryl; grandchildren, Drew (Cassidy), Philip (Annica), Maddie (fiance’ Roscoe Bradt), and Sam Anderson, Tommy, Grace, and Will Kepley, Catherine, Evan, and Ryan Catoe; great grandchildren; Beau, Margo, Brooks, Issac, and Micah Anderson; and sister, Carol Clements; and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband Raymond Catoe; parents Burt and Dorothy Robinson; and brother Burt Robinson Jr.

She modeled the fruits of the spirit daily and ran with perseverance the race marked out for her, with her eyes fixed on Jesus.  While our hearts are broken and we mourn her loss, we celebrate her life and know that we will see her again in heaven, where she is with Jesus and reunited with her loved ones.

Visitation will be held Saturday, January 11th, 2025 from 1:00 - 1:50 pm and Celebration of Life at 2:00 pm at Hermitage Baptist Church, Camden, SC. Burial will follow in the Kershaw City Cemetery.
