William Malcolm Barnes, Jr., 72, passed away on Thursday, January 02, 2025. Born in Sumter, SC on January 28, 1952, he was the son of the late Iris Nunnery Barnes and William Malcolm Barnes, Sr. Mr. Barnes was an employee with Dupont/Invista until his retirement. He loved nature and enjoyed being outdoors anytime he could. He also enjoyed watching sports, especially college football. But above all else Mr. Barnes enjoyed the time he spent with his family and friends.

Left to cherish his memories is his children, Jessica Cantey (Ralph) of Camden, SC and Joshua Barnes of Camden, SC; sisters, Carolyn Williams of Sumter, SC and Bert Cousar of Bishopville, SC; grandchildren, Palmer Cantey of Camden, SC, Teige Cantey of Camden, SC and Shea Cantey of Camden, SC.
