ELGIN – A memorial service to celebrate the life of Marvin Lois Nelson, 69, will be held Tuesday at 3:00 p.m. at Powers Funeral Home, Lugoff. The Rev. Jeff Grubbs will officiate. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the funeral home. Memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society 647 Lachicotte Road, Lugoff, S.C. 29078. Mrs. Nelson died Tuesday, September 18, 2012. Born in Winnsboro, she was the daughter of the late John and Gatsie Baker Craft. She enjoyed gardening and crafts. Surviving are her children, Rose Wilson, William Nelson II, Mary Hegler, and Howard Lee Nelson; brother, Alfred Craft; 16 grandchildren; and 12 great-grandchildren. She was predeceased by sons, John Ellisor and Billy Michael Nelson; brothers, James Craft and Thomas Craft; and sisters, Mary Branham and Julia Massey.
