LUGOFF - A funeral service for Billy R. Watts, 88, will be held Saturday at 2:00 p.m. at Springvale Baptist Church with burial to follow in the church cemetery. The Rev Larry Fraser, the Rev. Todd Horton, and the Rev Tim Shull will officiate. The family will receive friends Friday from 4-6 p.m. at Powers Funeral Home.

Mr. Watts passed away on Tuesday, December 17, 2024. Born in Lugoff, he was a son of the late Robert and Mary Edna Rabon Watts. He retired from Duke Power Company after 29 years. Mr. Watts was a faithful member of Springvale Baptist Church where he served as a former Deacon and sang in the choir for 74 years.

Mr. Watts enjoyed hunting and fishing but most of all, he loved spending time with his family.

Surviving are his wife of 67 years, Marilyn M. Watts; son, Robby Watts (Debbie) of Lugoff; daughters, Vicky Taylor (Johnny) of Lugoff; Becky Jeffers (Troy) of Lugoff; 7 grandchildren; and 17 great-grandchildren. He was predeceased by siblings, Robert Watts, Lottie Watts, Frances Peake, Jack Watts and 3 infant siblings.
