Lucinda Jane Portee Obituary

CAMDEN- A funeral service for Lucinda Jane Portee, 76, will be held Sunday, December 22, 2024 at 3:00 p.m. at Powers Funeral Home. A public visitation and viewing will be held prior to the service from 2:00 – 3:00 at the funeral home.


Ms. Portee passed away on Sunday, December 15, 2024. Born in Camden, she was a daughter of the late Acie Portee and Altermae Curry Portee. Ms. Portee was a member of Sweet Home Baptist Church. She was enjoyed eating with her family and watching T.V., especially her favorite show, Heat of the Night.


Surviving are her children, Tony Portee (Angie) of Cassatt, Victor Portee of Sumter, Reginald Portee of Patterson, N.J..; brother, Billy Portee (Shirley) of Boston, MA; sister, Mary Griffin (Nathaniel) of TN; 23 grandchildren; and numerous great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her children, Janice Jackson, Janet Edwards, Kenneth Portee; and siblings, Junior Portee, Leroy Portee and Mary Frances Fletcher.
