Obituary of Dorothy Caulder

Camden – Funeral service for Dorothy Bell Clark Caulder, 90, will be held on Thursday, December 19, 2024 at 2:00 p.m. at Powers Funeral Home, Lugoff, with burial to follow in Mel’s Chapel Holiness Church Cemetery, Camden.  The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.  Memorials may be made to the American Heart Association.

Mrs. Caulder passed away on Tuesday, December 17, 2024 at MUSC Columbia Downtown.  Born in Clio, she was the daughter of the late Dave and Janie Lee Lowry Clark.  She was a fabulous cook and adored her family and cherished her time spent with them. She enjoyed sewing, gardening and working with flowers.

Surviving are her husband of 72 years, William Hamer Caulder; sons, William F. Caulder (Patricia Spradley) of Lugoff, Robert Caulder (Janice Truesdale) of Camden, and David Caulder (Cindy Boan) of Bethune; sister, Mary Blue Clark Miller; grandchildren, William Franklin Caulder, Jr. (Jennifer), Jamie Denise Caulder Potteiger (James Edward), Robert Jason Caulder (Stacey), Brandon David Caulder, Abbygail Dawn Caulder; and 7 great-grandchildren.  She was predeceased by a granddaughter, Cynthia Dawn Caulder; brothers, James David Clark, Harles Clark, and Martin Clark; and sisters, Ruth Jane Clark Caulder and Maggie Lee Clark.
