Obituary of Marvin Edward Tillman

Camden – Funeral service for Marvin Edward Tillman, 85, will be held on Sunday, December 15, 2024 at 3:00 p.m. at Powers Funeral Home, Lugoff.  Viewing will be held from 2:00-3:00 p.m. prior to the service at the funeral home.

    Mr. Tillman passed away at home on Tuesday, December 10, 2024.  Born in Camden, he was the son of the late Willie Tillman and Azailee Cooke Tillman.  He retired as a Bails Bondsmen.  He was a member of Greater Faith and Joy Tabernacle Church.  Mr. Tillman enjoyed thrifting and cooking.

    Left to cherish his memory are his loving and devoted wife of 34 years, Ruby Lee Tillman; children, Gloria Felder-Evans of Dalzell, S.C., Thomas Jones (JaQuetta) Charlotte, N.C., D’Wayne Thomas of Columbia, and Lababyray “Lavera” Thomas of Charlotte, N.C.; sisters, Mary Tillman of Baltimore, Md. and Gertrude Tillman of Manhattan, N.Y.; brother, Larry Tillman of Africa; 11 grandchildren; and 11 great-grandchildren.  He was predeceased by brothers, Randolph Tillman, Floyd Tillman, Willie Tillman and Albert Tillman.
