Jimmy L. Ratliff Obituary

Lugoff – Jimmy L. Ratliff, 85, passed away on Sunday, December 1, 2024 at Lexington Medical Center. Born in Charleston, W.V., he was the son of the late Leonard and Ruby Stone Ratliff. He served in the Army National Guard and retired as a heavy equipment operator at LTV Steel in Cleveland, Ohio. He was a member of the United Steelworkers Union #1098. He enjoyed fishing, boating, playing softball, golfing and spending time with his beloved pets, relatives and friends.




Surviving are his wife of 65 years, Gardia Taylor Ratliff; son, Jeffrey A. Ratliff (Liliana) of Raleigh, N.C.; brothers, Richard Leon Ratliff (Hermina) of El Paso, Texas, Jerry Ratliff (Mila) of Sacramento, Calif.; and sisters, Diane Grealis of Charleston, W.V., Drema Woods (Wetzel) of Charleston, W.V., and Donna Myers (James) of Bluffton, S.C. He was predeceased by younger brother, Roger “Sam” Ratliff; and sister, Gina Seay.
