Obituary of Stella Marie Stott
CAMDEN, S.C.- A time of gathering to celebrate the life of Stella Marie Stott, 89, will be held Monday, December 2, 2024 from 4:00 p.m. – 6:00 p.m. at Powers Funeral Home.
Mrs. Stott, wife of the late James Holden Stott, passed away on Tuesday, November 26, 2024 surrounded by loving family. Born in York, PA, she was a daughter of the late John Taylor and Stella Duff Taylor. Mrs. Stott was a member of St. Benedict Catholic Church in Mt. Pleasant, S.C. She enjoyed spending time with family and friends and was a skilled seamstress and enjoyed sewing for her children, grandchildren, great-grandchildren and various charities.
Surviving are her children, James Stott (Debbie) of Milton, DE, John Stott (Diane) of New Castle, DE, Stella Stott of Camden, S.C., Theresa Billingsley (David) of Hockessin, DE, Frank Stott (Kelsie) of Summerville, S.C., Margaret Libhart (Chris) of Townsend, DE, Kathleen Stott of Apex, N.C.; grandchildren, John Stott (Megan), Michelle Stott, Abbi Walker (Dave), Maggie Billingsley (Mark LaRue), Jillian Stott, Phoebe Libhart, Fiona Hilhorst; great-grandchildren, Noah Walker, Penelope Walker; and siblings, Margaret Wainwright (Roy) and Rita Fitzpatrick. She was predeceased by siblings, MSGR Francis Taylor, John Taylor and Charles Taylor.
The family would like to extend a special thanks to the staff at Karesh at Beechwood for their excellent care. She was loved by all the staff at Karesh. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Alzheimer’s Association or Karesh at Beechwood.
