Obituary of Aeris Odell Halley

CAMDEN- A time of gathering to celebrate the life of Aeris Odell Halley, 60, will be held Saturday, November 30, 2024 from 10-12 p.m. at Powers Funeral Home.

   Mr. Halley passed away on Friday, November 22, 2024. Born in Bishopville, he was a son of the late Hirtrell Halley and Bessie Green Halley. Mr. Halley enjoyed fishing, hunting, being outdoors, building, and dancing. He also enjoyed buying books of lottery tickets.

    Surviving are his wife, Cathy McDonald; son, Courtney Kershawdaughter, Aerica Mims of Sumter; special friend, Sophia; siblings, Lou Bertha Kershaw (Eddie), Debra Burris (Hazel), Gloria Halley, Cleo Halley, Terry Halley (Teresa), Darryl Halley (Shakeema), Shawn Halley; several grandchildren; and a host of other nieces, nephews, cousins, relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by a son, Aeris Halley, Jr.; sisters, Bernice Burris, Jacqualine Halley, and Connie Halley.
