Obituary of Phyllis J. Patrick

Savannah, GA- Phyllis J. Patrick, 76, passed away on Monday, November 18, 2024. Born in Sumter, she was a daughter of the late James Wyatt and Phyllis Dorothy Taylor McElveen. Phyllis worked as a school teacher for Sumter County Public Schools. She loved dogs, especially Boykin Spaniels and was involved with the Boykin Spaniel Rescue. She enjoyed taking fitness classes at the local YMCA.

    Surviving are her husband of 22 years, William Patrick of Savannah; son, Joey Mayconich (Charlotte) of Camden, S.C.; daughter, Mary Beasley (Sean) of Savannah; brother, Bill McElveen (Donna) of Irmo, S.C.; granddaughter, Malia Beasley; and step-granddaughters, Hannon El-Sherif and Adaya El-Sherif. She was predeceased by a brother, Bernie McElveen of Sumter.

A graveside service for Mrs. Patrick will be held Friday at 2:30 p.m. in Evergreen Cemetery, Sumter, S.C. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Boykin Spaniel Rescue.
