Obituary of William "Bill" Hough
LUGOFF – A funeral service for William Robert “Bill” Hough, 85, will be held Sunday at 6:00 p.m. at Springvale Baptist Church. The Rev. Larry Fraser and the Rev. Todd Horton will officiate. The family will receive friends prior to the service from 5-6 p.m. at the church. A private family burial will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Springvale Baptist Church.
Mr. Hough, husband of the late Irene Hough, passed away on Tuesday, November 12, 2024. Born in Camden, he was a son of the late Thomas Leroy “Roy” Hough and Beatrice Goodale Hough. Mr. Hough retired from the U.S. Navy as a MAC after service 22 years. After his military service he worked for Cogsdill Tool for 17 years, and his last employment was with Midlands Tooling for 10 years, where he enjoyed working with his buddies. Mr. Hough enjoyed tending to his pool, cooking, and working in his yard.
Surviving are his children, Debra Davis (Butch), Barbara Susie Mathis (Mitch), John Greg Creel, Sr., Larry Creel (Patty), Dennis Creel all of Lugoff; sisters, Ann Anderson of Lugoff, Beatrice Fields (Bruce) of Camden; 12 grandchildren; 40 great-grandchildren; and 7 great-great grandchildren. He was predeceased by a brother, John Hough.
