Obituary of William "Rod" Champion

LUGOFF – William “Rod” Rodney Champion, 83, passed away on Sunday, November 3, 2024. Born in Poulan, GA, he was a son of the late Hubert and Hazel Champion. Rod retired from the U.S. Air Force as a MSGT. He enjoyed square and round dancing, yardwork, being outdoors, bird watching, tinkering around the house, and investing.

    Surviving are his wife of 43 years, Sharon A. Champion; children, Dawn Allshouse (Eric) of Carson City, NV, Paul Champion of Carson City, NV, Jodi Cornell (Jason) of DePere WI, Laura Newberg (Craig) of Chanahon, IL; and grandchildren, Joshua Worthley (Tamaira), and Genevieve Swink. He was predeceased by a brother, Roger Champion.

    Funeral services will be private.
