Columbia – Margaret Elizabeth “Betty” Ciccolella, 77, passed away at home on Thursday, October 31, 2024. Born in Fulton, Ky., she was the daughter of the late John Shaw Bacon and Margaret Elizabeth Johnson Bacon.

Mrs. Ciccolella graduated from Murray State University in Murray, Ky. With a bachelor’s degree and receive her master’s degree from Cambridge College in Boston, Mass. She taught school in Saudi Arabia, Italy, and the Richland County School District for 28 years. She was a member of Good Shepherd Lutheran Church.

Surviving are her husband of 55 years, Richard George “Dick” Ciccolella, Jr.; son, Richard George “Dicky” Ciccolella of Camden; daughter, Heather Elizabeth Ciccolella (Jim Wooldridge) of Camden; sister, Mary Cecilia Harris of Hickman, Ky. and Agnes Teresa Barron of Beaverdam, Ky.; and brother, John Shaw Bacon, II of Union City, Tenn.

Services will be held at a later date.
