Lugoff – A service to celebrate the life of Alexandra Immay Cyr Brackett, 59, will be held on Thursday at 3:30 p.m. at Wildwood Church. The Rev. Gene Brown will officiate. Mrs. Brackett passed away on Thursday, July 31, 2014. Born in Munich, Germany, she was the daughter of the late Ferdinand Cyr and Magdalena Volk Hellams. She served in the United States Air Force. She enjoyed reading and listening to classical music. Mrs. Brackett had a love and gift for teaching children and even taught other languages. Surviving are her husband, Johnny Herschel Brackett; sons, William “Will” Brackett (Heather) of Lugoff, and Thomas “Tommy” Brackett of Lugoff; brother, Leon Cyr (Nancy) of Powder Springs, Ga.; and grandchildren, Alyssa Brackett, Johnny Brackett and Abel Brackett.
