Obituary of Pam Shiver Mazzola

Pam Shiver Mazzola, loving mother and grandmother, met her Lord and Savior on October 18, 2024. Pam’s final days were spent at the home of her daughter, where she received constant and loving care. Pam was born March 22, 1963 to Francis M. Shiver, and the late Anna McLeod Shiver, and was blessed by the love of Betty Shiver who accepted Pam as one of her own. Pam demonstrated an intense love and great loyalty to her family and friends. The term “Mother Hen” was personified in her care for her children and grandchildren.

A visitation will be held at Powers Funeral Home on Sunday, October 20, 2024 from 5:30-7:30 p.m. A funeral service to honor her life will be at Antioch Baptist Church on Tuesday, October 22, 2024 at 12:00 p.m. with burial to follow in the church cemetery.

Left to cherish her memory, along with her parents, is her daughter, Nicole Schutz (Kevin); sons, Shane Anderson (Melinda), Frankie Blitchington, and Skylar Mazzola (Kori); grandchildren, Cole, Josh, and Alyssa Anderson, Adalynn, Kassidy, and Brantley Schutz, and Sawyer Mazzola. She is also survived by her sister, Sonya Truesdale (Ricky Ratliff); dear nephew, Shiver Truesdale (Savannah); great-nephew, Braxten; and niece, Jessica Carter (Zane). She was blessed to have Sheridan Gideon, brother of Kevin, and Katie Pressley, family friend in her life. She loved both as her own.

We have all been blessed by the outpouring of love and acts of kindness shown to us during our mom’s illness and for it all, We thank you.
