Obituary of Robert Thomas Licata

In loving memory of Robert Thomas Licata who rode through life as fiercely as he rode his beloved motorcycle. With his piercing blue eyes that sparkled with mischief and warmth, he captivated all who crossed his path. A true connoisseur of whiskey, Rob found joy in the simple pleasures — a glass in hand and laughter shared with his friends, his infectious humor echoing off the walls, filling every heart with warmth.

A kind-hearted caretaker, Rob was a dedicated husband, father, and son, fiercely protective of his family. He had an uncanny ability to blend street smarts with boundless wisdom, offering advice to his friends with a wink and a grin, always knowing what to say to lighten the heaviest of hearts. His love for life was as vast as the open road, where he thrived in the wind and freedom, encouraging others to embrace their adventures. Rob was a one-of-a-kind human, pure in spirit, vibrant in presence, whose laughter could drown out the loudest storm.

Though he leaves an enormous void, his legacy remains to remind us to cherish each moment, laugh loudly, and live life unapologetically. May his spirit ride on in our hearts forever.

Funeral service for Robert Thomas Licata, 37, will be held at 11am on Wednesday, October 9, 2024, at Powers Funeral Home. The family will receive friends from 6pm – 8pm on Tuesday at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Kershaw County Humane Society, 128 Black River Rd, Camden, SC 29020.

Robert passed away on Wednesday, October 2, 2024.  Born in Columbia, SC, he was the son of Steven Licata and Sharon Collings Licata.

Surviving in addition to his parents is his wife, Christina Whiting Licata; son, Aiden Sineath; sister, Andrea Licata; mother-in-law, Teresa Whiting; and numerous aunts, uncles, cousins and friends. He was predeceased by his grandparents, Robert and June Licata, and Thomas and Jimmie Ann Collings.
