My pappy (aka my favorite big cricket) was the most caring and loving man that you could ever meet. He loved fishing, zebra cakes and Diet Pepsi but especially my son Michael Waylon. I am so proud to be able to call him my grandfather and so happy Waylon got to know who he is. Our hearts are broken that he is no longer with us but we pray that he is dancing is heaven with God. I remember the day he met Waylon for the first time. He was up at 4am waiting on us to get there. The first thing he said was “I am so proud of your Lucy. If you are anything like me you are going to be an amazing parent.” He was so excited to be a great grandfather. He would tell anyone who would listen that we were 4 generations. We’re gonna miss you down here big cricket. I love you always. -Your favorite little cricket.

My Pappy was such a loving and selfless man. He would give you the shirt off his back with no hesitation. I will never forget the day I came home from the hospital with my newborn, Magnolia, and he instantly fell in love. He told me and Nash she was so beautiful and how proud he was of us. Every time my parents visited him in the nursing home the first question he asked was “how’s that baby doing.” His grandchildren and great grandchildren held a special place in his heart without a doubt. I’m so blessed he was able to meet her before being called home. We will love and miss you dearly Pappy.
