Obituary of Sue Kirkland Branham

Sue K. Branham

Lugoff – Funeral service for Sue Kirkland Branham, 74, will be held Tuesday, September 17, 2024 at 1:00 p.m. at Powers Funeral Home with burial to follow in Blaney Baptist Church Cemetery.  The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the the funeral home.

Mrs. Branham passed away at home surrounded by family on Thursday, September 12, 2024.  Born in Camden, she was the daughter of the late Sam Richard and Lila LeGrand Kirkland.  She retired from First Citizens Bank. Mrs. Branham was a loving person. She seldom missed an opportunity to tell you that she loved you and for you to never doubt or forget it.  Sue was also known for her gift of gab and loved talking with her family and friends.  She was a favorite aunt.

Surviving are her lifelong love and companion, Frankie Branham; daughter, Tammy Turner (Brad) of Elgin; son, Bubba Branham (Barbara Robinson) of Lugoff; sisters, Edna Martin and Daisy Rhodes; brother, Cotton Kirkland (Dee); sisters-in-law, Myra Kirkland, Peggy Kirkland, and Mary Nell Branham; grandchildren, Hunter Brice Branham and Laura Turner; great-grandson, Braxton Branham; and many nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews.  She was predeceased by brothers, Henry Richard Kirkland Sr., James Kirkland, Danny J. Kirkland (Linda), Sam W. Kirkland and Duncan Kirkland; and sisters, Minnie Motley, Nettie Mae Cameron and Sallie Bell O’Quinn; and brother-in-law, Nelson Rhodes.
