Obituary of Brian Aaron Bachert

LUGOFF- A time of gathering to celebrate the life of Brian Aaron Bachert, 67, will be held Saturday, July 27, 2024 from 6-8 p.m. at Powers Funeral Home. There will be family reflections in the chapel of the funeral home at 6:30 p.m. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to St. Judes Children’s Hospital. The family request that you wear red to the memorial service, red was Brian’s favorite color.

     Brian passed away on Friday, July 19, 2024. Born in Pottsville, PA, he was a son of the late Aaron Lester Bachert and Winifred Ruth Shollenberger Rehm. Brian enjoyed fixing things around the house, building treasures for his family and friends in his work shed, and keeping his pride and joy, his red Ford F-150, pristine. He loved 70’s rock n’ roll and spending time on the water, fishing and sailing and especially spending time with his family and friends.

    Surviving are his companion, Carrie Skillman; daughters, Melissa Bachert Sills (James, Jr.), Breanna Bachert; brothers, Darren Borrilez (Curtis Overcash), Jim Chadwick (Deb); grandchildren, Connor Bachert, Addisen Sills, Austin Sills; and cousins, Peter Shollenberger (Nikki) and Denise Stephens. He was predeceased by his wife, Rebecca Barbara Parlier Bachert.

      Burial services with military honors will be held at a later date in Indiantown Gap National Cemetery, PA.
